"‘You’ means something different now. For them/then it was a faithless prayer ‘you,’ unheard and unanswered. For you/now it is an exclamation of joy, a realization of everything and anything that could be, should be, is. You are warm. The light from our house, the same. I will brave the cold with you; shed my californian comfort for a warm jacket and a tingly nose. Gloves and the gold-silver-white light of you warm a gray day and a blue evening. I love you and I am loved. You/now a wonder and a blessing to hold and be held. You/now something and everything and anything."

Future is a collage of joyful moments pulled together into one graphite drawing. Here, the artist breaks a pattern of using the second person to refer to those who have hurt them in negative ways and begins using 'you' with a new positive connotation towards a new positive person. The piece revolves around the muse as an unfinished poem of hope.
